Korall. Journal for Social History is an independent scholarly journal: it is not attached to any state, academic or university institution. It is published by the Korall Social History Association, founded for the purpose of publishing the journal.
The journal charges no submission or publication fees of any kind. Its publication is made possible by competitive grants, by the one per cent of personal income tax that taxpayers in Hungary may assign to a civil organisation, and by revenue from the sale of individual issues and from subscriptions.
National Cultural Fund of Hungary

The publication of the journal is supported by the National Cultural Fund of Hungary (Nemzeti Kulturális Alap).
Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Humanities

The journal is published with the support of the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University.
The development of this website was funded by the 2025 grant of the ELTE Journal Development Fund.
From that grant the journal’s entire back catalogue, going back to 2000, received article-level DOI identifiers; a searchable author database with institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs and MTMT records was created; English-language abstracts and keywords and an English version of the website were completed; and the journal’s publication ethics and peer review policies were published.
Your one per cent
Readers in Hungary also contribute to the journal’s work. If you assign one per cent of your personal income tax to the journal’s publisher, you support the publication of the issues directly.
